Hey fanwarriors! Very very important!
Hey fanwarriors! Very very important!
As promised, I will be telling you all what the next few Fandom of the Weeks will be, so you can prepare yourself :)
Below, I will list many of the fandoms that we'll be featuring in the next few months. Please consider reading some of these books or watching some of these movies/shows (if you can), so we can all discuss and love these fandoms together! If you have questions about any of these fandoms, please feel free to comment below. I'd be happy to give a synopsis for a fandom you don't know much about, try to convince you why you should read a certain book, or suggest some ways you join some of these fandoms :)
10/9-10/22: SuperWhoLock Week
Two (!!) weeks of three major fandoms: Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock! This is in honor of the premiere of Season 13 of Supernatural on October 12, 2017.
10/30-11/5: Contemporary Week (Turtles All the Way Down - 10/10)
During this week, we will be posting about books by John Green and Rainbow Rowell, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Everything Everything, 13 Reasons Why, and much more! This week will be in honor of the October 10th release of John Green's Turtles All the Way Down. (The week will start almost three weeks after the book's release, so some of our posts will be discussions about it!)
11/13-11/19: DC Week
This week will be all about DC, both the comics and the movies! It will be in honor of the November 17th release of Justice League.
11/27-12/3: Fantasy Week
The Raven Cycle, Inheritance Cycle, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Hush Hush, Beautiful Creatures, Fallen, Throne of Glass, Shadow and Bone, the Shannara Chronicles, and much more! This week will be in honor of the November 7th release of Renegades by Marissa Meyer (The week will start almost three weeks after the book's release, so some of our posts will be discussions about it!)
12/11-12/17: Star Wars Week
In honor of Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, which is being released on December 15th!
12/25-12/31: Musicals Week
In honor of Pitch Perfect 3, which is coming out on December 22nd. This week will also feature musicals such as Hamilton, Les Miserables, Wicked, Rent, Phantom of the Opera, Grease, Sound of Music, Hairspray, Glee, and more!
As always, feel free to ask any questions or make suggestions in the comments below. And please consider joining some of these fandoms! :)

Sounds like a plan! In musicals week, could "more" also include Heathers? :3
ReplyDeleteSuperb plan!!! Btw may I know when you all are planning to keep divergent week?
ReplyDeleteHAMILTOOOOOOOON!
ReplyDeleteFor contemporary week, be careful with 13 reasons why. It's a show/book that triggers a lot of people, even of the post isn't directly about suicide, it will still trigger some people.
ReplyDeleteAnd for fanysy week, can you include Merlin, Gregor the overlander, and The Amber Chronicles?
For musicals week, I also have some suggestions. Sweeny Todd, Dr. Horrible's sing along blog, galavant, Bring it On, the wiz, and little shop of horrors.
^ Emphasis on Galavant
ReplyDeleteMaybe that way more people will watch it
Ɠrace Ӈ it needs more love
ReplyDeleteFelicia Day Fangirl lots more
ReplyDeleteƓrace Ӈ I've legit memorized all the songs. It needs a new season.
ReplyDeleteƓrace Ӈ YES THANK YOU
ReplyDeleteGalvant is a masterpiece~
Felicia Day Fangirl
ReplyDeleteSame here! What’s sad is that I’m pretty sure it won’t be getting a new season. It was so good though, I can’t believe not very many people watched it!
Pixl Hamada
ReplyDeleteIT’S SUCH A GOOD SHOW, I LOVED EVERY EPISODE
IT NEEDS MORE RECOGNITION
Ɠrace Ӈ what I want, is a spin off, about Sid and Gareth's adventures trying to find Madalena
ReplyDeleteFelicia Day Fangirl
ReplyDeleteThat would’ve likely been in season 2, but since they clearly can’t do another one, I’d live to see that spin off. Maybe the other Galavant stars could guest star in a few episodes too~
Ɠrace Ӈ yup
ReplyDeleteƓrace Ӈ YEEEESSSSS SAME
ReplyDeletePixl Hamada Sure!
ReplyDeleteSharvari Sriram I’m still deciding. It depends on how all the Fandom of the Weeks work out.
ReplyDeleteFelicia Day Fangirl Yes, we’ll be especially careful with 13 Reasons Why. It’s a popular book/show, though, so we still want to include it. For Fantasy Week, we can include Gregor the Overlander and The Amber Chronicles, but Merlin will be featured later on in Fairy Tales Week. And we can definitely consider all of those musicals. Thanks for your suggestions!
ReplyDeleteFandoms United okay
ReplyDeleteYUS
ReplyDeleteSuperwholock
and maybe we can have some like criminal minds, law and order, etc and any other shows related to that?
I would love to see some Criminal Minds posts/memes
Superwholock!! :))
ReplyDeleteAbout Fantasy Week. Can it include Chronicles of Narnia or Lord of the Rings? I’m really only well versed in those two.
ReplyDeletePrincess Gryffindor Aurora Witch We're planning on having a Whodunit Week later on :)
ReplyDeleteeternalxfandom We're going to have a separate week for Narnia and LOTR - Fantasy Week will be more about minor fandoms. You can always post about Narnia/LOTR during non-Fandom of the Weeks :)
ReplyDeleteWhat if it comes to a point where I can really post for only one of the Fandoms of the Weeks? I literally can only post for the first week every month. XD
ReplyDeleteFandoms United :D
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of musical week but Pitch Perfect isn't a musucal
ReplyDeleteAbram in Wonderland We know it’s not a traditional musical but we include it in Musicals Week because it has music and doesn’t really fit in other categories either.
ReplyDeleteFandoms United Do you have a general "movies" category? Or maybe a contemporary film category to supplement the contemporary novels category?
ReplyDeleteAbram in Wonderland No, we don’t have a general Movies Week. Contemporary Week could include movies and shows as well as books.
ReplyDeleteFor fantasy week could you include The Hollow Kingdom trilogy? And for musical week, could you include In the Heights? Thanks and I'm super hyped for the next few weeks!! :D
ReplyDeleteCatholic Geek Sure!
ReplyDeleteFandoms United Thank you! :D
