Hey y'all!

Hey y'all!

Like I said in my last post, I would still love to keep in contact with anyone who's willing through my personal accounts on other platforms. So, as promised, here are some of my social media links. (The first few are more active than the rest, but I do use all of them pretty consistently, even if I don't post that often.) Please feel free to follow me, and I'll follow you back if you don't look suspicious. :) (You can also +1 or comment your profile name in this post so I know who you are.)

Anyway, to follow up on my previous post...

I've been scrolling through tons of old G+ posts for the past few days and thinking a lot about this page, and I've come to this conclusion:

I don't think I (or any of the other managers) will be actively trying to continue this page on another social media platform. I've looked around at options like MeWe, which I've been hearing a lot about, and it seems like a great site, but I don't think I'll be recreating the page there, or anywhere else.

Here's the thing. A few years ago (aka the good old days), I dedicated every second of my free time to G+, and while I don't regret any of it, I also don't think I can afford to do all that again. It was amazing having a platform where I could reach hundreds, and even thousands of people with just the click of the button, but over time, the demand to produce unique and good quality content, continue the Fandom of the Weeks and other events that we had come to be known for, and single-handedly run this page after most of the other managers had gone inactive got to be a little too much. Eventually, scouring the internet for stuf to post and logging onto G+ felt almost like a chore. I know that seems a bit dramatic, but you can imagine how things might have gotten a little repetitive after four years, when it seemed like I'd posted every fandom meme known to man, and a lot of our long-time followers were starting to leave G+.

This page was extremely special to me back then, and it still very much is, but a huge part of my love is/was due to the G+-ness of it (if that makes sense). It just wouldn't be the same on a different platform. It makes me sad to say, but the page's managers and I have moved on to other endeavors. All good things must come to an end, right? I guess it's our turn.

If I ever feel the urge, I might post a bit on the page's Instagram, Snapchat, or Pinterest, but I currently don't have any intention of picking it up on those platforms where the Google+ part is ending. I hope you understand where I'm coming from.

Once again, thank you all for following and supporting this page, whether you were here from the beginning or found us more recently. I've treasured our time together, and I hope to encounter you all again in some other way. Maybe I'll be a famous author one day and give this page a shout out, or maybe we'll find each other on another site and talk about fandoms again. Who knows? Anything could happen. But until then, thank you for being here for us.

Signing off,
~Jamie the Demon-Hunting Clockwork Seeker <3 br="">

  2. I completely understand. Other platforms are just not the same and we're all getting older so it's getting harder to find spare time. I'll miss all of you though.
