Today is Memorial Day in America, a day where we commemorate the fallen and take a moment and realize that the horrors they went through brought us our freedom. Lives were lost in the wars that America fought in, and it's sad — not just our troops' blood, but other countries lost their soldiers as well. Both sides risked their lives for something they believe in, and, as a result, "casualties" occurred. Unfortunately, war is one of the harsh realities of life, but I am eternally thankful to our troops that keep us safe and risk their lives every day for us.

My grandfather was a veteran. He survived Vietnam, only to lose the battle to cancer four years ago.
ReplyDelete#NeverForget May those who are currently serving, getting ready to go to basic (Like me), or who have paid the ultimate price to defend the people and our Constitution be remembered and honored on this day.
ReplyDeleteIs this only an American holiday? I have never heard of it before...
ReplyDeleteI'm not american, but I'd like to salute all the soldiers who are defending their country, ready to sacrifice their lives.
