Hey guys!!
Hey guys!!
So, the managers and I have been discussing the future of our Fandom of the Week system...
Fandom of the Weeks are hard when we focus on minor fandoms, because while they are great in that we are forced to expand the amount/types of fandoms we post about, it also means that very few people understand our posts. Also, it's really hard to find new content for minor fandoms, and we often end up just posting stuff we've already posted before.
And, in general, the rigid system we've set up for ourselves (doing a FoTW every other week) is difficult when we're really busy (which is pretty often).
So, we're thinking of changing this a bit.
When there's a major event in a fandom (for example: when Marvel's Infinity War comes out at the end of April), we'll dedicate a week to it. Every once in a while, we'll dedicate a day or two to fandoms that don't have new content (The Hunger Games, Narnia, etc.) or certain genres (anime, comedy, historical fiction).
When neither of those are happening, we will continue to post about any fandoms we want, or any that you suggest we post about - and yes, we'll try to vary those a bit so we're not always posting about the same fandoms. This new system would be a lot more flexible and give us room to breathe when we are busy with our personal lives. And I'm going to try to keep up with some book/movie/show recommendations, so we can all explore new fandoms that way too :)
So, what do you think of our new system? Should we do this, or would you prefer for us to stick with the way we've been doing Fandom of the Weeks? Any other thoughts? Please let us know by voting and commenting!!
