    The first Wings of Fire book, The Dragonet Prophecy, is pretty good. It's really long (and probably a decent number of people have read it) but I might also suggest the Hobbit. Red Queen might be a good choice, too.

    The Ruins of Gorlan, or The Iron King, though I am not 100% sure that it the second on is High Fantasy.
