Oh! Actually, I made my mom read THG, and whenever I'd mention drinking or something, she'd say "don't drink, you're not Haymitch!" but she can't remember Haymitch's name so she always says it wrong, like "Don't drink, you're not Hermitch" or "Haymick" or something, and it's wonderful.
One time i wasn't answering my phone and my dad texted and i quote, "If you do not come downstairs right now I will go all Goku on you." (Dragon Ball Z)
Whenever I turn on a light in a room my moms in she says "bright light! Bright light!" Which is from the 1980s movie Gremlins (not sure that even counts as a fandom it's so old). I'm pretty sure my parents don't know any other quotes I would understand (I barely understand the gremlins one)
My mum's a Potterhead too so sometimes she makes HP references xD It's the best feeling ever bc apart from the two of us, no one's a Potterhead and therefore it feels like an inside joke!
This is kind of but my mum had just met two of my teachers who are married to each other and she said afterwards, "Do I ship it?" noddig firmly "I ship it. OTP." I screamed!
Hey y'all! Like I said in my last post, I would still love to keep in contact with anyone who's willing through my personal accounts on other platforms. So, as promised, here are some of my social media links. (The first few are more active than the rest, but I do use all of them pretty consistently, even if I don't post that often.) Please feel free to follow me, and I'll follow you back if you don't look suspicious. :) (You can also +1 or comment your profile name in this post so I know who you are.) [removed] Anyway, to follow up on my previous post... I've been scrolling through tons of old G+ posts for the past few days and thinking a lot about this page, and I've come to this conclusion: I don't think I (or any of the other managers) will be actively trying to continue this page on another social media platform. I've looked around at options like MeWe, which I've been hearing a lot about, and it seems like a great site, but I don't thin...
Hey all! Guess it’s almost time for us to say goodbye... Unfortunately, we’ve been pretty inactive for the past few months, but before that, Fandoms United and Google+ was a major part of my life for several years (and that’s an understatement). I invested countless hours (and days and weeks) in this page, but I don’t regret a single minute because I got to meet so many fantastic people. I’ll always treasure the experiences I had hosting annual contests and Fandom of the Weeks, interacting with all of you in the comments, and being part of a community that loved fandoms as much as I did. I’m so glad I stumbled upon Google+ and decided to start this page back in 2014 - I still can’t believe we were able to reach so many of you (probably thanks to my shameless self-promo in the early days). Thank you for everything. It’s truly been an honor. That said, here are our (currently also inactive but maybe not for long?) accounts on other social media platforms. If any of you have ideas for oth...
