Stay away from fan fictions tagged as tragedy, don't go on tumblr if you don't want spoilers, and find other people in the fandom, so they can comfort you when you are hit by feels. What would your advice be?

    Don't start a series unless all the books are already out. It's best to avoid the pain that comes from waiting a year after a horrible cliffhanger.

Hey all! Guess it’s almost time for us to say goodbye... Unfortunately, we’ve been pretty inactive for the past few months, but before that, Fandoms United and Google+ was a major part of my life for several years (and that’s an understatement). I invested countless hours (and days and weeks) in this page, but I don’t regret a single minute because I got to meet so many fantastic people. I’ll always treasure the experiences I had hosting annual contests and Fandom of the Weeks, interacting with all of you in the comments, and being part of a community that loved fandoms as much as I did. I’m so glad I stumbled upon Google+ and decided to start this page back in 2014 - I still can’t believe we were able to reach so many of you (probably thanks to my shameless self-promo in the early days).
