Has anyone read The Giver?

Has anyone read The Giver? It's really good; I read it for a literature class. The movie is coming out on August 15th, 2014. Taylor Swift is in it! You'll see her at 0:44, with brown hair. Here's the trailer!

  2. Movie looks NOTHING like the book. When they said they're making The Giver into a movie I imagined a twelve year old boy in a black and white movie, with little slashes of color here and there. Not a 24 year old(I looked it up. Brenton Thwaites is 24). But I'm still gonna go see it so I can complain about how it didn't follow the book at all

  3. Amy Rosica that's exactly what i have imagined while reading the book.

  17. I loved this book. I actually still have a personal copy I read it when I go on long trips BC its such a great read. Trying to get my niece into it. Hopefully the movie doesn't stray too far.. Already there is color so I'm a little bit iffy about it. Not complaining. Yet will give it a chance
